The Log House

This brilliant debut by Baylea Hart is a horror story following a gruelling journey through an unwelcoming forest that is so well written, you can see, smell and feel it. Penny struggles to find her way back to her son, having being attacked and set adrift to die on a makeshift raft down river. We are rooting for Penny all the way, though she is deeply unsympathetic, and the story builds to a terrifying but satisfying climax. Out on Audible.
