Death on the Deck

Updated: May 13

Thank you Kelly Mason for the pure pleasure of this latest Lady Ellen mystery, with all our favourite characters and shades of Murder on the Orient Express. After so many episodes, I don't even need to refer to my audio clip references for the main voices; they're like old friends, and easy now to slip into: romantic Sebastian, haughty Marchioness of Bandberry, dry Inspector Stone (in disguise, some of the time), and others.

Ellen is aboard ship bound for Cairo, where she is longing to meet her beau Ernest Hamilton. With her is her ward Lottie and, surprisingly a few other familiar faces. When a passenger is found shot on the open deck, the illusion of safe passage shatters. With no one able to escape, Ellen finds herself drawn once more into the hunt for a cold-blooded killer. Another glamorous 1920s whodunnit from Kelly Mason and narrator Frances Butt, full of intrigue, romance, and danger on the high seas, and once again great fun all the way! Listen here on Audible
