In this sweet contemporary romance from Fay Keenan, published by Ulverscroft, astronomical archivist Charlotte is posted down from Bristol to Brambleton in deepest Somerset to over see the demolition of an old observatory. Here she encounters and clashes with Tristan, spiky property developer. But as time goes on, there are hidden depths to Brambleton, the Observatory - and Tristan too... After narrating a period piece it's rather lovely to come back to contemporary fiction and play more familiar-sounding characters - it's much easier on the brain, to just sound 'normal'.
